Eighteen LTTE members have been killed and another 12 wounded in fighting in the northern province yesterday (Sept. 04^th), said military spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara.

The military lost two soldiers, while seven others sustained injuries, he said.

The clashes had taken place at Palamoddai, Pokkaraweni, Wedimkulam and Mannarakulam.
