Wanni troops have killed 30 LTTE combatants and injured 21 others in fighting, said the Media Centre for National Security.

The fighting took placed in Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Welioya, where the military lost four of its personnel, while 14 others sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, police found a T-56 rifle and 26 ammunition rounds and a RPG launcher during a search operation in Eravur in eastern Batticaloa district.
