The main opposition UNP has decided that internal matters should be raised only at meetings of the working committee and the politburo of the party.

Meeting yesterday (Sept. 03^rd), the politburo stressed that such matters should not be discussed anywhere else.

At this discussion, a committee led by MP Lakshman Kiriella was appointed to reorganize the propaganda mechanism of the party.

The meeting saw the rebel group of MP coming under strong criticism, with many asking them to immediately leave the party if they wish so.
