The main opposition United National Party is holding a special meeting of its politburo today (Sept. 03rd).

With leader Ranil Wickremesinghe at the chair, the discussion will deliberate on internal reforms and preparations for future elections.

UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake, speaking to the media in Colombo yesterday, said no proposal has been made to the Working Committee to change the party leadership.
