The Army handed over to the ICRC in Vavuniya yesterday (Sept. 03rd) the bodies of 20 LTTE members, including that of four females, who had died in fighting with the military in recent days.

Among them are 12 Tiger cadres who had been killed in an encounter with the army and the police a couple of days ago while trying to infiltrate the Konketiyawa area, reported the NethFM News correspondent.

Five bodies found by the police and two more recovered in Trincomalee will also be handed over to the ICRC.
